Spring and Sephora

Yes, it's still winter outside and we have a ways to go before spring gets here. But I am ready for spring to get here. I am ready for the temps to warm up and stay warm, I am ready for short sleeved shirts, I am ready to have the ability to go outside to leave the house without a coat and a few other things. After Christmas, I get really tired of winter.

I am currently browsing Sephora and trying to pick out a Chanel. I have enough of no 5 to last for a while and it smells like the EDP has been reformulated. I am not sure if I want to go the original Coco or Coco Mademoiselle and which formulation. I decided to not go down the Andy Tauer route nor spring for the Hedonist travel set. I think that the price tag is part of the reason and I am still not sure about the Hedonist travel set. The original Hedonist, I love, Hedonist Rose is a take it or leave it and I have never tried Hedonist Cassis. Besides, I have two Sephora gift cards to burn and that makes the cost of a Chanel go down a little easier but getting a large bottle is out of the question.

I am currently in the process of doing a load of laundry. I am getting ready to spend the weekend at my aunts place and I do need some clean clothes, especially underwear. What I am really working on is what I am going to take perfume wise. It might be only 3 days but I won't have access to my whole collection. Do I take Shalimar or do I take Ubar? Do I take both? Do I take one and have a decant of no 22 or the full bottle of Hedonist? I am having the hardest time picking out. I have done it once, picked out a perfume and stuck to it for a week.

Scents for a Graduation

My younger sister is graduating from nursing school next week. So that means my dreaded what am I going to wear? I have my clothes picked out, have to get a pair of heels. That's the easy part, the clothes but I am clueless on what perfume(s) I will be taking down.

It's always seems to be the same debate and some restrictions. Since I am not flying, I don't have the whole 3 ounce bottle restriction to worry about. But I do have my list narrowed down (for now) to a very small handful. Chanel no 5 in EDT form, Worth Courtesan, and either Jicky or Shalimar Ode a la Vanille. I am still debating on if Theorema,Chanel no 19 and vintage Bal should be contenders for this list. What's probably going to happen is when I am packing, I will completely change my mind to totally different things but who knows what will go down.

The day I leave vacation is the most nerve wracking of all because there is so much to do is a very short period of time. The morning, that I leave is loading my dogs, their leashed, toys, treats, medication and dog food in the car and drop them off at the boarding place. I don't know why I am a crying mess when I drop them off, I just am starting to miss them. When I arrive home, I need to load up my suitcase and take care of a few final things before I go. But it's the whole thing that bothers me. Probably because it's out of my comfort zone.

Travels and Events

It seems like every time I turn around, I am planning another trip. And with planning a trip, means packing. picking out and packing clothes is pretty easy for me. For me, it's the making sure I have a car charger for everything. And I mean everything, the cellphone, tablet, and now my Kindle "needs" one.

But since I always seem to travel in the fall, I have to take a new look at my perfume collection. Fall can be a goofy time of year for perfume. It's the transition from the fruity and floral stuff to the heavier oriental perfumes. I honestly don't have  lot of transition perfumes in my collection or the floral/fruity stuff, it's the heavy orientals or the aldehydes. Sometimes I wonder if I should just stick to taking Jicky and no 5 and leaving the rest. Or maybe take Theorema just in case. I'm thinking L'air du Desert Marocain due to the fact that it seems to be evaporating in front of my eyes. Not having all of my collection sends me into a panic attack because I am always afraid that I may want something that I didn't pack.

Now for a little change of pace, funerals and perfume. Yes, funerals and perfume since I have to attend one tomorrow and I am at a loss on what to wear. It's for a relative that I may have met once or twice in my life and I am about to search my closet for cloths that might be appropriate but perfume is always tricky when we are dealing with funerals. Cuir de Russie? The trusty no 5? Vintage Mitsouko? I have no idea at this point, knowing that skank is out along with anything loud.
