Tauerville Incense Flash Review

I know, I know, it takes me forever to try anything new and even longer to review something. I seem to spend more time just blogging about shopping and nothing at all. Since I haven't blogged in about a month, I have to blog about something and I really have to review something. That something has to do with what seems to be my favorite perfumer, Andy Tauer.

I love quite a bit of Andy Tauer's work and what doesn't work for me or I don't really like, I can respect that particular perfume. Tauerville is Mr. Tauer's price friendly line. At $60 for a niche perfume, that's pretty damn cheap but there is nothing cheap smelling when it comes to Tauerville. You do smell quality.

When Luckyscent e-mailed me a rare coupon, I couldn't resist taking a look and using it. Anybody who has been shopping for niche perfumes, knows how expensive niche can be. Since I didn't have tons to spend, I took a look at Incense Flash and a few other of the Tauerville offerings. Since I had already owned Vanilla Flash and didn't much care for Rose Flash, the only viable option was Incense Flash. Anything with heavy patchouli isn't much of a friend to my nose.

Incense Flash is not an Andy Tauer does incense, not really but I knew that it probably wasn't going to be like the CdG incense line. The beginning was almost like Avignon but a little different. If you've ever been in a car dealership or a place that sells car tires, you know the smell of rubber and leather. The leather and rubber were noticeable but didn't overtake the incense. Nothing overtakes the incense. but the incense smooths out the rough edges as time moves on and the Tauer base comes out softly. The Tauer base isn't very strong in Incense Flash but it is there and it takes it's time to arrive. I get about 6 hours of wear time before it disappears. Funny thing is, is that I'm not sure if I like it or love it. I figure that I have to spend more time with this one to get a better feel before I make a decision.
